Roman heritage
With its white concrete structure, impressive length and illuminated glass railing this bridge is a true eye-catcher in the newly built Maasboulevard area in Venlo city. The arched supports are a subtle reminder of the city’s Roman heritage.
Our design was one of two designs in the running for becoming Venlo’s new landmark. The public overwhelmingly voted for our design.
lighting
The glass railing has been fitted with a honeycomb silk screen print that allows for the integrated led lighting (fitted inside the handrail) to be spread out evenly across the railing panels. We designed several lighting programs for the bridge. Each season the colour scheme can be different.
It is also possible to adjust the lighting for special occasions or events.
