public recognition for Zwolle train station bridge

The innovative timber trainstation footbridge has been awarded the People’s Choice Award at the annual Dutch timber design awards (Nationale Houtbouwprijs) 2025. The bridge has a loadbearing timber structure as well as a timber deck. In addition, the elevator shafts have a timber structure.

From September 3rd until September 5th two of our designers will be present at the Footbridge Conference 2025 in Chur, Switserland. Ronald Rozemeijer and Thomas Kaasschieter will both be holding a presentation there as well.

meanwhile in South-America…

The construction-kit version of our Dutch Bridge standardised movable bridge has arrived in Columbia and has been put together. While there still is quite a lot of work to be done, we are excited to see the whole ‘shipping a design to the other side of the world’ part of this project has succeeded!

opening of Boorloo Bridge, Perth

This Sunday December 22nd the iconic Boorloo Bridge across the Swan River in Perth will open to the public. Our design, which came about in close collaboration with the engineers of WSP’s Perth office, features two cable-stayed bridges, 250 m and 140 m in length that pay tribute to customs, history and culture of the local Noongar people.

mine rail bridges completed

The three mine rail bridges we designed for the Dutch town of Heerlen have been completed! These unique bridges tell the story of the local mining history and are part of the recreational cycling route called Parkstadroute, which takes cyclists on an enjoyable journey along the local gems and through the beautiful landscape of this southern part of the country.
