
parametric design software: we love it
We’ve made a video on how we use parametric design software to optimise our designs. It’s an efficient way to compare design choices and their impact on the overall appearance as well as the amount of building material needed. We now use programs such as Rhino for quite a lot of our projects, for example the design of the bicycle bridges for the LA River project and the Nigtevecht bicycle bridge.

festivities mark opening of unique timber footbridge in Zwolle (NL)
There is no other bridge like it: the Zwolle train station footbridge. Designed as an elevated park across the railway tracks, this timber footbridge combines function with recreation and sustainability. A weekend of festivities marks the opening of this unique project on September 5th.

come meet us at the Footbridge Conference!
From September 3rd until September 5th two of our designers will be present at the Footbridge Conference 2025 in Chur, Switserland. Ronald Rozemeijer and Thomas Kaasschieter will both be holding a presentation there as well.

meanwhile in South-America…
The construction-kit version of our Dutch Bridge standardised movable bridge has arrived in Columbia and has been put together. While there still is quite a lot of work to be done, we are excited to see the whole 'shipping a design to the other side of the world' part of this project has succeeded!
