parametric design software: we love it
We’ve made a video on how we use parametric design software to optimise our designs. It’s an efficient way to compare design choices and their impact on the overall appearance as well as the amount of building material needed. We now use programs such as Rhino for quite a lot of our projects, for example the design of the bicycle bridges for the LA River project and the Nigtevecht bicycle bridge.

meanwhile in South-America…
The construction-kit version of our Dutch Bridge standardised movable bridge has arrived in Columbia and has been put together. While there still is quite a lot of work to be done, we are excited to see the whole 'shipping a design to the other side of the world' part of this project has succeeded!

opening of Boorloo Bridge, Perth
This Sunday December 22nd the iconic Boorloo Bridge across the Swan River in Perth will open to the public. Our design, which came about in close collaboration with the engineers of WSP's Perth office, features two cable-stayed bridges, 250 m and 140 m in length that pay tribute to customs, history and culture of the local Noongar people.
