Adriaan Kok has passed away last Saturday, September 7th.
Adriaan has contributed greatly to ipv Delft. Both as designer and ambassador. Projects such as the Hovenring (Eindhoven), Halvezolenpark bridges (Waalwijk), Steenbergen aqueduct, Heidekamp footbridge (Stein) or the Tegenbosch bicycle bridge (Eindhoven) would not have had the same appeal or wouldn’t even be there at all if it wasn’t for Adriaan.
He has been a very experienced and important player in our team for over 20 years. Always willing to participate and bursting with creativity and out-of-the-box ideas. Through lectures, conferences and site visits he represented us internationally as well, seriously putting us and our expertise on the map. For years, Adriaan has been our ambassador of bicycle infrastructure. We are forever grateful to him.
We are filled with sadness. Adriaan will live on in our minds and hearts, and in his many completed projects.
